Fox Valley Catholic Bible Study for Women

Fox Valley Catholic Bible Study for Women is back! Starting February 1, 2024, each woman of the parish is invited to begin a study of The Holy Spirit in the Bible, here at St John Neumann. Then, after a break, we will continue with a 3-week study about our greatest feast, Easter, from April 11 to 25.

You can register on our website https://fvwbiblestudy.org/.  You can also get a registration form by emailing fvwbiblestudy@att.net, or calling Kathy at 630-370-4629.

Gatherings are held in the Hermes Center at 9 am. A large group reflection will begin at 9:15. This is followed by a small group discussion of the lesson in various classrooms. We conclude at 11 am. There is also a Zoom option. The $30 registration fee includes all study materials. Structured childcare is offered for children aged 2 and older for a one-time fee of $10. Children under 2 stay with their moms in a special group.

What we study: Using Little Rock Scripture Study by Liturgical Press, we will explore the role of the Holy Spirit at Creation, in Israel, in the ministry of Jesus and the early church. We will also see how the Holy Spirit acts in our own personal and spiritual lives. Our Easter study allows us to linger a bit with the experience of Jesus’ Resurrection, joining the women at the tomb, and the other disciples, and learning the importance of the Resurrection from Paul.
