What is Confirmation?
Confirmation is one of the Sacraments of Initiation into the Church, together with Baptism and Eucharist. Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism by a special outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which seal or “confirm” the baptized in union with Christ and equip them for active participation in the worship and apostolic life of the Church. When is Confirmation?
At St. John Neumann, 8th grade students enrolled in Youth Faith Formation are typically confirmed in the spring. We also offer a Confirmation program specifically tailored to high school students. Any adults who are desiring to be confirmed, please reach out to our RCIA Coordinators.
The date for the Confirmation ceremony is set by the Bishop’s office. Once set, we will inform all of those who are registered.
