Totus Tuus 2022!
The Totus Tuus parish summer catechetical youth program is a week-long “parish mission” for Catholic youth entering grades 1st through 12th (as of September 1, 2022). It is dedicated to the proclamation of the Gospel and promoting the Catholic faith through evangelization, catechesis, apologetics, Christian witness, the sacraments, Marian devotion, and Eucharistic.
Small-Group Helper. Do you have each day from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. during the week of July 18 available? Are you an adult or a high school student? You will: Follow the direction of the Totus Tuus teachers who come from the diocese. Lead children around the building, keeping them in a group. The children will be grouped in similar age level groups, Grades 1 through 6. You will: Make sure everyone stays on schedule. Make sure hands are washed before lunch. Bring the group for restroom breaks, snacks, and lunch. Bring children who need minor first aid to the Faith Formation Office. … Welcome the children with a smile! Get to know their names! Dance and be silly alongside them! Serve as an example to them of reverent behavior during Mass and Reconciliation! Be someone they look up to! Have fun on the last day with a water fight and a human sundae in the parking lot!
• Special Needs Buddy. Are you a 7th grader or older and also have the days available during the week of July 18? You will: Work one-on-one with a child with special needs, keeping him or her on task. Form a special relationship with your buddy. Also, participate in the water fight and human sundae on the last day! … You can team up with another friend so that you can share buddy duties if you would like.
• Are you an adult with a couple of hours each day available during the week of July 18? Then please consider helping serve snacks (9:30-10:15 a.m.) or serve lunch (11:45-1:00 p.m.) during one or more daytime sessions.
• Do you love cooking or do you have a few extra bucks to support the Totus Tuus teachers? Then please consider providing the team (four young adults) with lunch or dinner. You would make the meal to bring to church, host the team at your home, or host them at a local restaurant.
1st – 6th Grade Program (Monday, July 18- Friday, July 22) All campers in this group should be a sack lunch. Snacks will be provided.
